hits, buying/selling/trading a module is a significantly cheaper and easier endeavour then full sized heads or combos. I've been running the same basic setup for four or five years now. Whatever outside the box tone combinations you need or want - you can achieve it on this platform.

It's proven to be my last stop on the search for "the right amp" and "my tone" You want a Fender Bassman clean with a JCM800 crunch, and chase it with a SLO lead? No problem. I have also enjoyed the Bman (fender), DS (Friedman Dirty Shirley) and BEBB (Brown Eye + Buxom Betty by Friedman) enough to keep around, though the DS and the 800 are REALLY close tonally.Ĭlick to expand.The platform was a gateway for me - Found about the modular platform via Synergy, then discovered after-market modders who've been around for years and have been tumbling down that rabbit hole ever since. way too compressed and meant for shredding. i really disliked the gain channel on the Vai module. THAT is a thing though - some modules you may really like one channel, but not the other. i like the near jazz cleans of the twin but the deluxe channel i need to find the sweet spot for my taste yet. I recently got the TDLX (fender twin and deluxe reverb) and ordered the OS (dumble) to shoot out which "clean module" is a keeper. the IICP sounds like a mesa mark, of which i used to own one, its just that i look for different tones now. its not that they sound bad, its that i guess i dont like those amps' sounds. The ones i have not liked at all were the Ecstacy, the IICP and the Uberschall, but some guys in the big synergy thread love those. My favorites include the SLO (soldano), the 800 (designed by friedman under the synergy label), the VH4 (diezel) and the Deliverance (fryette).
zero issues with the other modules both new and used / open box. Out of that many modules, one did have an issue, but again it was open boc from musicians friend, so lord knows who touched it before me. via open box from big retailers ove tried an addition 5 or 6. keep in mind the same factory builds some bogner, some diezel, soldano, all friedman stuff here in the states.
